Led by Luke and Ali Peterson in partnership with longtime organic mentors Carmen and Sally Fernholz, A-Frame Farm in Madison, Minnesota transformed from conventional to organic farming in 2014, driven by Luke's unique background in prairie restoration and environmental science. Their 500-acre certified organic operation is on a journey toward true regenerativity, implementing innovative practices like minimal tillage, diverse crop rotations, and grass-fed beef integration, which have dramatically improved their soil health and microbial activity. They specialize in unique crops like buckwheat for Seven Sundays, locally-marketed small grains for area bakers, and are introducing perennials like Kernza, all while maintaining close relationships with our buyers and transparently sharing their regenerative journey through social media.
