About

JAS Family Farms Organics was born in August 2014. It is a reflection of our founder Tony Serrano's knowledge, experience, and passion for growing healthy food for people through our organic and sustainably grown fruits and vegetables. We stand by the integrity of the food we grow, for the people that consume it, and the future of agriculture as a whole. We aim to provide education, hands on training, and opportunities for our coworkers to rise within the company. From the President to our entry level members, we work equally as hard and have the same goal in mind: to live a better life. We’re a small family-oriented company with big dreams and aspirations. We believe that nothing is impossible, it’s just a matter of time. JAS invests more deeply into soil health and regenerative agriculture practices than most organic farms of their scale, and has seen superior yields, soil carbon, water usage, biodiversity, and engaged employees as a result. Practices include: cover cropping on the majority of acreage, minimal tillage, mulching with organic matter, drip irrigation, hand harvesting and weeding, minimal use of organic pesticides thanks to integrated pest management methods, and crop rotations across multiple and synergistic species. JAS is pursuing Regenerative Organic Certification.
