Lunas farm started in 2015 after finding 3 acres lease in Hollister, Ca. The special weather in this coastal region gives us the opportunity to grow 15 different crops at given times. Samuel Luna (my dad) has been in the agriculture for more than 30 year. He started as an employee and after learning how to farm from seed to harvest, is now an independent farm owner. My goals are to build the soil with cover crop and crop rotation, decrease water consumption, and protect water quality by using drip tape whenever possible.
