Spinaca Farms was established in 2001 by farming veterans Rick and Jeannette Andrade with industry partners on 40 acres of virgin farmland in Paso Robles, CA, building on the Andrade family's rich agricultural heritage dating back to California's dairy industry in the 1920s. The operation expanded significantly in 2004 when their son Zack joined with his agribusiness degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, helping transform Spinaca into a trusted year-round supplier for major national brands like Earthbound Farm, Fresh Express, and Taylor Farms. Drawing on over 55 years of farming experience, Spinaca Farms has evolved to grow, pack, and procure both conventional and certified organic produce for the fresh market through their La Colline line, launched in 2014. Their latest innovation, the Root to Shoot program, demonstrates their commitment to sustainable agriculture by transforming traditionally overlooked plant parts into nutrient-rich ingredients for the global functional foods market, while creating new revenue streams for farmers and meeting consumer demands for nutritious products.
