Isabel Garcia is an inspiring grower from Salinas, CA with 9 acres of diversified land. The name Dream Farm originated from the feeling of gratefulness that Isabel has for the ongoing support from her father and the opportunity to take care of the land and own an independent business. As a woman-owned business, Isabel encounters the challenges of working in a male-dominated industry, and has extra motivation to produce the best crops and inspire a generation of woman who may be hesitant to start their own farm. Isabel first launched Dream Farm after joining the ALBA incubator program. She immediately felt a sense of freedom, working outside, planting and caring for unique varieties of vegetables, and learning new techniques to improve soil health and maximize quality and flavor. Isabel handles all the tractor work, crop planning, partnerships, and has strong support from her father and two part-time workers to help with planting, harvesting, and weeding. Isabel loves working with animals and has a goal of creating a biodynamic farm that integrates goats, chickens, and other animals to further advance her soil management practices. Dream Farm specializes in broccoini, chards, kales, along with diverse season crops like strawberries, spring onions, and tomatoes.
