Coronel Produce Farm is an organic farm located in Soledad, CA. Adelio Coronel is a third-generation farmer. He started as an employee, and later became a grantee of the Future Organic Farmers program, receiving grants for organic education programs and providing the tools and confidence to thrive as an independent organic professional and develop all aspects of standards, food safety, and organic certification. Adelio's favorite crop to grow is sweet broccolini. It is a fast growing vegetable that can be harvested every 3-4 weeks. "Kids prefer it over broccoli, it is high in calcium and vitamins. I love being able to provide this kind of nutrition for kids and for everyone. My family is fundamental. Farming has helped us stay close as a family. We have the opportunity to show our daughter everything we do on the farm. I believe agriculture is the past, present and future. This is where my opportunity is to reach my dreams".
