My grandparents were farmers in Oaxaca, Mexico, and they taught me to take care of the land. When I heard about the opportunity to have an organic farm, it was an opportunity to have a connection to the land like my family had in Mexico. I focus on growing certified organic broccoli and onions on a half-acre piece of land in Salinas, California. I hope to build my business and rent a larger piece of land near my home in Salinas.
