Sean developed a passion and deep knowledge of food as a chef, and brings that enthusiasm to work every day as a grower. This background gives him a unique perspective and allows him to turn some of his excess crops into a sauce that he jars and sells. Comanche Creek Farms grows over 260 varieties of produce, including figs, pomegranates, okra, and much more. However, they have a strong focus on heirloom tomatoes and summer squash. They operate year-round, and harvest crops from 40 acres of land. Certified organic since 2011, the farm has a philosophy that supports healthy soil. Comanche Creek demonstrates their commitment to sustainability in many ways including: growing cover crops for soil fertility, using only natural methods of pest control, and recycling natural materials back into the soil.
